Clinical Research Coordinators
We acknowledge the important role of the experienced clinical
research coordinator in the successful outcome of clinical
investigations. We are continually seeking to add these
valued members of the research team to our network of over
175 independent coordinators throughout the country. If
you are an experienced independent Clinical Research Coordinator
or part of a coordinating group, we welcome the opportunity
to discuss with you the development of a collaborative relationship
with SMO-USA, Inc. We can offer you the chance to increase
your participation in clinical trials as well as the size
of your physician network.
Coordinator Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3, preferably 5, previous study
experiences within the last 1-2 years and documented by
a CV not older than 3 months, signed and dated attesting
to accuracy. CCRC certification preferred.
- List specific studies in which he/she has participated
in including therapeutic indication, dates of participation,
enrollment goals, and # of patients enrolled.
- Must have a clear understanding of required regulatory
documents, having previously submitted IRB approval requests,
developed informed consents, completed Form 1572, and
has managed and completed case report forms and all accompanying
documents (i.e.: source documents) to study completion.
- Maintain up to date Investigator CV’s, facility
certifications, lab normals, etc.
- Have a strong working relationship with the physicians
he/she is supporting in the respective study.
- Understands, and/or has participated in investigators
meetings, site qualification visits, monitoring visits
and internal (Sponsor) or external (FDA) audits.
- No current restrictions on licensure (i.e.: RN, MT)
- Working knowledge of lab collection procedures, storage
of specimens, packaging and mailing of lab samples.
- Have a working knowledge, or be able to learn, IVRS
(Interactive Voice Response System)
- Have the ability to interact with all clinic staff,
provide necessary in-service or ongoing training and education
to office staff.
